ABOUT US
The year was 1898 when the Trappey name would elevate its presence in Louisiana history. B.F. Trappey created a hot sauce recipe that he knew would be a hot commodity, he along with 11 sons embarked on this exciting new business venture together. B.F. – somewhat reluctantly – agreed to let a cigar salesman peddle the sacred Trappey’s hot sauce. It was that key decision which propelled their business to a whole new level. The company grew over the years and is now distributed nationwide as well as abroad in Europe, Japan, South America, and Mexico.
4th generation Trappey heir and Trapp's Broussard co-owner, Joey Trappey, is continuing his family's Louisiana legacy by opening his 4th Louisiana restaurant with his childhood friend and co-owner, Barrett Boutte. Trappey's first three restaurants are located in the Monroe area: Fieldhouse Bar & Grill, Crawfish City and Trapp's On the River. Joey and Barrett, both New Iberia natives, are excited to get back to their south Louisiana roots to serve them the best food around!
